FreeMax Starre Pure Review
« on: November 03, 2016, 10:48:32 AM »
The Chinese have been treating me pretty good, sending me all kindsa stuff to try out lately. This is the latest.

This thing was sent to me by Abby from Heaven's Gifts. She emailed me and asked if I'd try it. I said sure but I prefer rebuildables. She sent it.

http://www.heavengifts.com/FreeMax-Starre-Pure-Ceramic-Tank-Silver.html

Here is the thing:

It looks pretty regular, nice enough and all.

The noteworthy thing about this tank is top air flow only. Look at that slot up top. This means it can be flooded like a motherfucker and still won't leak out of the bottom when you fill it up. Sounds shitty but works pretty alright.

Here it is with guts all exposed so you can see how it comes apart.

CERAMIC HEADS! I'll explain. The head is NOT a baked in coil like some of the other ones. It's a vertical coil in cotton inside a ceramic cup.

Lookie here

So, it's a vertical that gets bottom air flow from the Top. Neat.

How it Vaped

It vapes pretty damn nice. I was impressed initially. The problem with this thing is the head started gurgling and tasting skanky after only 3-4 days and there is no rebuildable option. I would not buy heads that taste good for only 3 days.

This thing needs some kind of Vertical rebuildable coil option. I think you could rebuild one of these heads if you REALLY wanted to, but I don't want want to make protanky style heads (the ones where you fuck around with the pin and sillicone grommet etc).

I was using it at 50+ watts for 3-4 days, so these heads might work ok for a lighter vaper. Maybe they're good for a month at 20 watts. While it was good it was very good, so who knows.

TL;DR

Only takes premade heads
Top Air Flow sorta neat
Nice thick black paint or whatever they cook onto it, the finish felt luxurious
