Target VTC Kit Review
« on: December 16, 2015, 10:29:27 AM »
Wassup bitchez?

Today I've got a brand new mod to talk about to you American Gangster Cowboys. It is The Vapeexpresso from Target. I was sent this mod for free from Heaven Gifts, as I'm an official forum Momerator, and that obviously holds some weight.

Here is a pic of what they look like.

It's a regular wattage/tc single 18650 box that looks weird. Seems to work just fine. Goes up to 75 watts, but I don't know how'd you ever get more than 20 minutes off a battery at that kind of wattage. I used it for a couple days and pretty much plugged it in to charge while I wasn't using it. It did good.

The tank has non rebuildable coils. The coils are baked into a chunk of ceramic instead of being wicked, and I won't lie, the ceramic coils are nice. Pretty tasteless in regards to wick taste. The tank however, has poor air flow. It's very restricted on the airiest setting. This tank is not for me, but the ceramic coils are interesting (fuck you MJ) as fuck. If there were a way to bake your own ceramic coils, it could be the end of cotton, or as much cotton. The ceramic block is wrapped with a super thin layer of cotton, probably to keep it from leaking.

The ceramic coils look like this:

So, the coils aren't exactly baked in. They're in the middle, maybe sorta baked onto the sides. This isn't exactly rebuildable....yet. I could see getting ceramic plug blanks in the future and maybe pulling a coil through the center maybe.

So, maybe in the not to distant future I'll be in the garage with my kiln making ceramic coil tubes for wicks. That shit has potential for sure.

Vatic is a faget.

Interesting.   :D

Hard ceramic venturi cup surrounding combustion was the bomb on tanked CE2's, but the dependence on wicking against gravity made them inconsistent overall.  As wicking material I think permeable ceramic flopped in one design quite a few years back, but can't recall the name of it...

This ceramic chimney works surprisingly well. No spits and no dry hits. I could see this being really popular with beginners and lighter users. Since, I can't switch to this, I can't speak to the longevity of the heads, but it seems like they might last longer too with no internal wick.

You know I'm not going to look too hard, but this is bottom coil tank with atmospheric pressure forcing wicking up through the ceramic, which I assume is semipermeable, yes?  That would probably be why it works pretty well compared to the years ago ceramic 'wick' flop design I'm thinking of.  It wasn't bottom coil, such a thing had yet to be implemented in tanks then, if there really were any true tanks at that time...

Dude, we've seen your pic. We know you don't shower. And we know you wear wrangler and lee jeans with orthopedic janitor shoes. We've also seen what you have sex with. I don't have to make fun of you, all I have to do is accurately describe you.

I'm sure bottom helps, I doubt the porousness of the material is the same either. I think the ceramic fail was a peg wick for genesis rebuildables. Those were sorta fucked even without ceramic wicks.
